MICHAEL BENTHAM

Michael Bentham brings more than 30 years of financial and international business experience to his role as Chair of PMOPA’s Audit & Finance Team. He is also an active member of the PA-46 community and currently co-owns a Piper JetPROP, prior to which he co-owned a Piper Malibu Mirage.

Mr. Bentham currently serves as Principal Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance for a global, publicly traded energy services company. Previously, he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career, he spent 23 years with a leading multinational energy technology and service company, living and working in several countries, in senior finance and treasury roles.

His career includes extensive experience in financial management, international operations, treasury, and corporate governance. Mr. Bentham holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Northumbria and is a Chartered Management Accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.

Alongside his professional career, Mr. Bentham has developed a strong connection to general aviation having owned and flown a number of varied aircraft; C152, Beagle Pup, Yak 18T, Scottish Aviation Bulldog, Cirrus SR22 and more recently his Mirage & JetPROP ownership facilitating his involvement with PMOPA. He brings that combination of financial expertise, aviation experience, and commitment to the PA-46 community to his service on PMOPA’s Audit & Finance Team and Board of Directors.
